Jimmy Hayward directed a short western film back in 97'. I got to be the video/photo documentarian on that shoot in the Brawely sand dunes. Jimmy was such a great Director, He even pulled off the last shot by seconds before we lost the light. He has studied every classic westen director to a tee. Now if he can just send me that footage of him hitting me over the face with a break away botttle in SLOW MO, that would be SWEEEET ! He also was my Pixar Character animation teacher for 2 years.

I can see Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex. Good coice. I'm not so sure the Horton Who Director is gonna pull of a dark gunslinger movie though. It better be a hell of a good script too or it will bomb. 3:10 to Yuma suffered from that & wasted several good actors. They Should get the master of westerns CLINT EASTWOOD to direct Jonah Hex. That would be sweet.
