I had this single as a kid, what a great song; I always loved the way their lyrics seem to always switch at will between Love as "God's love" and the sexual, romantic, physical love of human beings (and of most Pop songs)... it has a killer guitar solo too, and it goes from Gospel-tinged Soul to Funk and Hard Rock.... it was the era of Sly & The Family Stone-style Psychedelic Soul... shame there isn't a proper video for the "long version"...

I totally agree I bought the Cd the greatest hits and after I heard this track I fell in love with this song!

I thought this was Jermaine at first but it's Marlon. He sounds great. And I LOVE this song.

Thanks for posting it. I don't know how many realize that The Jacksons were the first real boy band. They sang AND danced.

I KNEW it was Jermaine. Jermaine did the recording. Marlon did it on some concerts that are on here after Jermaine left the group. That's what made me doubt myself. (As if it really matters that much). But we ARE talking Jackson info here! LOL!
