how does this work? lets say someone were to go out and fish with riptide, do they keep their fish, or is it all the fish are taken and split?
and are they cleaned on the boat?

yes you get to keep your fish. at the end of the trip on the way in the deckhand will fillet all your fish for you. it's customary to grease em a couple of bucks.
