"For Colored Girls" from writer / director Tyler Perry opens this Friday, Nov. 5th.Based is Ntozake Shange's play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf," the film features a cast Including Celebrated Kimberly Elise, Janet Jackson, Loretta Devine, Thandie Newton, Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Whoopi Goldberg, and Macy Gray.
"For Colored Girls" portrays EACH Of The Women in the collection of twenty poems in order to shine a light On the Issues That Impact "Women in general and" Women of Color in Particular. "

@antigoniem06 No I don't prefer any race of person i'm just saying his movies are very one sided. Spike Lee for example is the other way around makes pictures that are not prodominent to one race. Watch Do The Right Thing if you want to see a good movie that tackles the issues of racism

@downrodeo2112 I understand what you're saying, but he's providing jobs for A LOT of black actors who otherwise wouldn't have much of a job. Yes, I do prefer Spike's movies, but being from the south myself, I like watching Tyler's movies (even thought they're horribly written and directed) because I can relate. Most of the subjects in Spike's movies I have yet to experience, but if Do the Right Thing and Madea's Family Reunion were on TV at the same time, I'd watch DTRT.
