@Bdlsito My friend, listen to one Mr. Jaco Pastorius if you want to hear the BEST bass lines of history. The one you comment on if good and complements the song, but Jaco was an acknowledged master that blew the doors off anyone playing from the mid 70's through the mid 80's.
