I Was going to wear spikes 4x400m relay pour la and 800m, and I Was going to wear running shoes 1600M & 3200M pour la. Is this a good idea? This is my first year in Track & Field. My spikes are mid-distance spike for distances 400-1400M, and coach Makes us use 1 / 8 "length spikes.

It depends. You should have mid-to-longer distance spikes that have a little bit of a thicker sole to absorb all of the shock from running such a longer distance. The small spikes might be OK, but I'd be worried about all that pounding on your legs.Plus, you don't want to get shin splints.
