@lifeseeker51 The comment that you posted regarding Hereafter is quite profound. You're right - so many people waste their lives pursuing those things that may lead to their utter damnation: fame, fortune, self-satisfaction. Rather we are really here to serve others. Like you said: why does it take practically a life-time before we come to this realization? It's amazing how the realization of our mortality does to our perception of what's important and what's not important.

@gbmack2000 How can you discount the experiences of thousands upon thousands of people who have had near death experiences? They encountered God and the spirits of loved ones that had already passed on. Even in medical school, they have a course on near death experiences where they are taught about these peoples's encounter with the hereafter. Rather trying to discount or evade the truth, embrace it brother.

Sure is tough to know what happens "hereafter." I tend to doubt that even a great movie will leave the viewer feeling that the question has been answered conclusively.
Could still be a great movie, though--Clint has been great the last ten years or so.
The most compelling treatise supporting the notion that we have spirits which outlive our mortal bodies that I ever came across was a non-fiction book entitled, "The Life of a Lakota Shaman." Amazing book.
