Thing about this movie that I don't get is the continuity between "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Get him to the Greek"

In FSM Jonah Hill was in it and had dialogue with Russel Brand aka Aldous Snow, but in GHTTG they never acknowledge meeting each other, but Aldous Snow acknowledges Sarah Marshall.

You would think Jonah Hill's character would remember meeting Aldous Snow if he was that big of a fan.

I dunno... stupid to think about i know, just curious how all this fits together.
