I thought this movie was cute and perfect to watch with your kids. I honestly don't know why it has such low ratings. It's very funny. Brendan Fraser stars as a real estate developer named Dan Sanders who is planning to tear down the forest and build a mall. The animals of the forest soon decide to take matters into their own paws and make Dan's life miserable, until he realizes what they want. Dan's wife, Tammy doesn't believe him about the animals, and insists that he gets therapy. During an eco friendly fair, the animals will have their revenge against the man who is making Dan destroy the forest. If you love comedies, and children's movies, you'll love FURRY VENGEANCE!!! I mean you certainly have a far superior mind by letting others decide something for you witout wasting your own time to find out for yourself... this movie like alot of others is amazingly what it was supposed to be..for the family, not rated xxx not violent in the type most people have come to expect everything as, its funny, cute, charming and witty, it has a great plot, excellant storyline and actually thought and a lot of heart put into it. from my toddler clear up to my college age bound student and various others of their friends and family members loved it... we saw it repeatedly when it was out playing in the theater and will be thrilled again to watch something that the entire family can watch and enjoy.... Brandon Fraser and cast of endless smiles he worked with on it, does it again by relating to both kids and adults alike and show a very important message and cause about the world we live in and what happens when we don't take care of it... its beautiful movie and deserves alot more credit then so called movie cretics gave it... I rent this movie from Red box and ordered the movie from Amazon immediately after watching it with the family.Don't understand why there are many negative comments here about this great family movie.I love comedy movie and this movie was unexpectedly great.I could not remember when was my last time to laugh so much with tears from watching a movie. Our whole family enjoyed it so much, especially our two little girls (age 4 and 6).I plan to get 3 more DVDs as the Christmas presents for the family members.I highly recommend this great movie. You park your logic and adult brain at the door.As you enter, you pull your 6th grade humor back from the netherlands of childhood. And you just go with the absurdness of it all. And laugh. And remember that if animals could, they would. Enjoy. Posted on November 14, 2011 Bethanie Ilaria says... I am a fan of Brendan Fraser and I couldn't wait to see the movie, Furry Vengeance. The movie was funny right from the beginning.Brendan Fraser is a developer and wants to build homes and the animals get revenge on him.He finally realizes that what he is doing is wrong and gets some help from his furry friends. This movie has a good message about saving the wildlife also. This is a fun, family movie. If you enjoy comedy and like Brendan Fraser...this is a great movie! I had taken my grandson to see this at the theater and followed up with purchase of the movie for him because he liked it, especially the variety of animals in it. A few mildly amusing parts. Some of the gags were just overkill to me, gross and not especially funny, (being sprayed by 20+ skunks) and a couple of the characters, especially Brendan Fraser's boss, tries to be funny but doesn't even rate a laugh.Pretty mediocre stuff. Posted on November 19, 2011 Foster Brohl says... I love Brandon Fraser, but this movie is difficult to like. A bunch of animals take out their hatred on an unlikable man that is pigeonholed by his boss to spearhead turning their forest into a housing development. The animal trainers deserve a medal and the people that special effected the animals. I don't mean talking Disney animals. I mean real animals that don't talk. Occasionally they have thought bubbles, but it just looks cheap. Skunks spray him, raccoons end up in his car, crows peck at his window when he's getting sleep and several animals have an elaborate plan to kill people by bashing their cars off cliffs (their plan looks like the game Mousetrap). The supporting cast of his wife and son are just "there." They don't do much other than look at Brandon like he's crazy. This movie would be a more crowd pleasing if these were Disney talking animals and if Brandon played a clear cut evil villain like Cruella Deville. Maybe if this movie were less real and more cartoonish it would be better. Another thing wrong with the movie is product placement, there's a lot of it, everything from "Who wants a new Wii," to iPhones and iMacs everywhere. Posted on November 20, 2011 Vanetta Swift says... Nature finally gets back at us with a VENGEANCE!Very cute premise...and yes, I see lots of reviews that say that parents can't tolerate this film, but really, that's what's wrong with "family" films these days. They are made for kids, but also tweeked to appeal to adults and are full of crap that just doesn't belong in a kids film. This is goofy fun MADE FOR KIDS.We, as adults just have to sit there and be happy our kids are being entertained. It doesn't really have to make sense to us.It can be goofy and silly and funny and still be worth something. My 6 year old has watched this several times since we brought it home the other day.She is pleased, so I am pleased. There is NOTHING IN THIS FILM THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED OFFENSIVE that I could see and I think most parents will be pleased, if not SLIGHTLY entertained! Posted on November 20, 2011 Arden Weisenberger says... the product was great and in great condition and lastly arrived in a timely fashion Posted on November 23, 2011 Ruthanne Toor says... This is one of these movies that's enjoyable watching once, but no more than that. I had high hopes for this film given the premise, but while there are some funny scenes, overall this movie fails to impress. Brendan Fraser and the others do decent jobs with acting, so they're not the real problem with this film. It's just the script and dialogue were... blah. I got this from a Redbox, so for a buck, I don't feel ripped off, fortunately. Posted on November 27, 2011 Leave a Comment |
