For Colored Girls Movie Review Beyond The Trailer

I HATED this movie. I will never waste another dime on a tyler perry movie! First the movie was melodramatic, I mean come one the movie tackles SO MANY problems you cant even feel sympathetic for one scenerio, and the acting was black typical enough said. Next, he ALWAYS demonizes men,there either a rapist, down low, or a cheating dog. The people that were interviewed are obviously not familar with the theater and good acting. Gosh, sometimes black people can be so embarassing..I give it a -1.

I HATE TYLER PERRY he can b racist at times and in my openyon his work is subpar all my frends agree (black and white) he dose a poor job I give it a 4 please don't snap at me saying I'm racist I just don't understand etc. These are just my thoughts they can be different from yours as yours can be from mine

@umairrrr Clint Eastwood's Flags of our Fathers, Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings, The Ring, Titanic, The Breakfast Club, etc. There is a movie called White Chicks directed by the Wayans brothers was actually very successful at the box office. For titling the movie "White Chicks", no one sued or yelled. I don't quite get your point.

@SEVENTEENCINEMA How can you say that he's being racist?.....have you seen or heard of "The Family That Preys" His cast was black and white. But what do you say about white film makers who only put whites in their movies? I'm sure nothing. If anything Tyler is giving black actors a chance to shine & make it possible for them to make a living in film. It's a shame that people don't appreciate the message he's pushing. Whether you agree or not he is doing a excellent job giving us a voice.

@Grad25 Name a director that only uses white people in hollywood. Find a movie that is called, or is similarly names "for white girls". No one would do it, because they'd get sued, or yelled down. It's fucking ridiculous!

@ramseyrocks I kind of agree with you, he does need to make a film focusing on men sometimes, like an action pack flick. But I do feel the films he does, it say's alot and as a woman I can appreciate the beautiful men he has in his films like most women I know. I also appreciate how he empathizes with women and the pain he probably seen alot of his female family members go through....we all have experienced or know someone who has suffered at the hands of someone they loved.
