@dlb41880 That is because in Graeco-Roman culture the moon was a female goddess, also associated with virginity. If you look at the sun on the other hand? That guy was a tramp and a half.

The song has different meanings for different people... it could refer to God, or to someone very close who you depend on.

@finch6789 Horses have many different meanings. The term used in Dog days was probably the meaning of freedom, since the song was about her trapping herself away from happiness.

"When food is gone you are my daily need." Lungs was about here boyfriend, that could be the explination.
