Agreed. They rushed it pretty badly - and another BIG fault is that they made it PG13. A movie simply requires an R-rating in order to have any kind of edge and depth these days, else it becomes boring and naive. But, that's what you get when Disney is in charge - family oriented, luke-warm movies.
It's really too bad because all the characters were awesomely re-imagined, good actors, and the cinematography was grand and awe-inspiring. It just didn't have the "OOmpf".
