I'm a grown man, and I'm telling it straight - A performance like this brings me to tears, and I'm proud to say that. Bruce's raw emotion and passion blows me away.

@jackster1965 jacks i know what you mean. i was 16 then. son of an alcoholic grease monkey...i could relate to the Boss well. I never realized it then but I was in hitchhiking distance to Asbury Park. Funny how life goes in a circle.

In 1980, I was 15 and had I'd dropped out of school and was working a dead-end laboring job on a cotton farm when I first heard this album. I'm not American and I'd never heard of Asbury Park, but this album touched something in my soul and made me ready to "pay the cost" . . . I've never forgotten those days . . . listening to this album in my room at night and making plans to escape from the life I had found myself living . . .thnaks Bruce!
